Lucidity gone away?

lucid dreaming inception

Often times others tell me that they were having this amazing lucid dream, only to be cut off too short. Perhaps they awaken and it was over.

But could that really be it? Is that dream truly over?

You can always try to go back to sleep and try to invoke the lucid dreaming process again. Sometimes we are lucky and we are able to return to that awesome lucid dream... sometimes that lucid dream just doesn't come back.

Do we really give up and throw in the towel at this point?

You don't have to. Who says you can't just close your eyes and re-imagine the dream you were having? Instead of being a lucid dream, simply draw it out and use your imagination.

Simply imagine how you would have liked the dream to continue, and immerse yourself within that dream - even though you are fully conscious. Allow your mind to wonder and continue to see the spectrum of the dream you were having; the colors, the sounds, the feel - use all of your five senses to immerse yourself once again in that illusion.

Just because it's not fully a lucid dream, or even a dream, does not mean you can't fully use your illusion to expand upon that dream.

And why should you even do this?

When we awaken in the morning sometimes our subconscious gains energy from our nightly dreams and it sort of influences us through out our day. Sometimes this influence is minimal, at other times it can be quite present. And simply, if you feel that the dream you were having was too short, or it did not go the way you wanted it to go, then simply go back and imagine your ideal dream. Nobody says you can't do that. And if you try it out you might learn something new about dreaming, or it could just help you have a better day overall.

Always move towards good energies, and if they don't come to you via real life or in dreams, then it's okay to simply imagine those good energies, immerse in them, and allow them to continue flowing. This is turn can greatly allow better things to become a reality. Imagination is an amazing thing.
